Thank you for stopping by.
For as long as I can remember, I have always been an artist. I love all colors, translucent veils of color, chalky smooth colors, watery colors blending into each other, iridescent colors, and watching how they become chameleons as the light changes during the day.
As a child, I mostly drew horses, occasionally people and houses, then landscapes. I remember drawing or painting them over and over, wanting them look as realistic as possible, wanting to recreate what I saw.
I began to love abstract art in my early 20s. I had painted a realistic still life for class at UCLA that included a favorite stripped dress of mine. The stripes were a dazzling hot pink, lime green and emerald. The folds and flow of the fabric mesmerized me and inspired me to paint a smaller painting of just the stripes. I loved it. It was new for me. The more I looked at the stripes the more I wanted to and did take the next step and paint just the colors, balancing them, abstracting them. -
Art has been a powerful force in my life. I became a photo then art director in an advertising agency, later moving on to dress design and playing with mixing prints as my signature, then chasing those prints to become a textile designer and finally using what I had learned as a textile designer to become a rug designer. All careers built on my love for art and learning new things that were challenging, stretching how I felt about art and the talents and skills I had developed.
I love to layer images and create groupings that tell a bigger story—or just look beautiful together, on clothes, in a room and finally on a wall.
I personally want to invite you to explore my fine art prints. I hope you enjoy the journey. Hopefully, my art makes you feel happy or reminds you of a cherished memory or a passion for color from somewhere in your own life. Welcome! -
